Szilvia Fábián is a prehistoric archaeologist and museologist at the Hungarian National Museum Public Collection Centre. In 2013, she defended her PhD from Eötvös Loránd University of Sciences, where her thesis focused on household archaeology and on the settlement history of the Late Copper Age Baden Complex, examining the internal settlement structure and activity areas. Her research interests encompass communication networks and cultural changes within prehistoric communities, with a particular emphasis on the Neolithic and Copper Age periods. Currently, her work in household archaeology concentrates on studying and reconstructing the spatial organization of prehistoric dwellings, activity zones, settlements, and areas for communal and ritual purposes. This research is the core of the OTKA project titled "The Changing Horizons of Material Culture," where she serves as the principal investigator. Szilvia Fábián has also participated in various international research projects aimed at researching, protecting, and disseminating the cultural heritage of prehistoric Europe.
